The National Institute of Technology Patna (hereinafter referred to as NIT Patna or Institute) is fully committed to providing all types of basic healthcare facilities 24x7 to its students through the Health Centre of NIT Patna. To serve the students in a more efficient and organized way, the following Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) is proposed:
- Primary and basic healthcare treatments will be provided by the Health Centre. In case of any medical emergency, the affected students will be transported to nearby hospitals immediately using the fastest possible means.
- For non-emergency cases such as minor sports injuries, seasonal illnesses, or pre-existing conditions, students should visit the Health Centre with their medical health book issued by the Institute.
- Emergency cases such as unconsciousness, heart attacks, strokes, seizures, electric shocks, or suspected fractures will be immediately transported to nearby hospitals via ambulance or any available vehicle.
